Privacy policy
Last updated October 18, 2026
Kapclip runs Kapclip. This policy explains what we collect and why. In short: your recordings never leave your computer, and we only keep what we need to run your account.
What stays on your computer
Recordings, webcam and microphone audio, projects, captions and transcriptions are stored and processed locally. We never receive them.
What we collect
Your email address and name (and profile picture if you sign in with Google). For each computer you connect: its name, whether it runs Windows or macOS, the Kapclip version, when it last checked in, and a one-way hash of its hardware ID. The hash lets us limit trials and devices without knowing which computer it is.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number. Stripe shares your billing country, subscription status and invoices with us.
We send sign-in codes and account notices through Resend. We don't send marketing email without your consent.
Service providers
Vercel hosts the website, Neon stores account data, Stripe processes payments, Resend sends email, and GitHub hosts app downloads. Each processes data only to provide its service.
Your rights
You can see your data on your account page and delete your account there at any time. For a copy of your data or any privacy question, write to support@kapclip.com.
